EKINOPS Completes Media Gateways Certification with BT Wholesale
As more businesses make the move to hosted communications and UC, it’s become important for service providers to offer solutions that meet a variety of needs.
EKINOPS, a supplier of optical transport equipment and router solutions for service providers and telecom operators offers efficient multiservice aggregation to fit any capacity requirement - from 10G to 400G and with optional single fiber functionality - has announced that its media gateways are certified compliant with BT's Wholesale Hosted Communications (WHC) service.
Specifically, Ekinops' OneAccess media gateways (ONE100, ONE150, ONE270, ONE425, ONE700, ONEVOIP30) has been validated and is now included in BT's catalogue for its Hosted SIP Trunking offering.
Commenting on the latest certification, Ajit Jadeja of BT Wholesale said, "We're pleased to announce that the OneAccess media gateways are now authorized for connection to our Hosted SIP Trunking service. It means our resellers are able to sell our Hosted SIP Trunks into a wider range of end customers and support migration of services from ISDN."
With hosted SIP trunking, customers can replace their ISDN and gain flexibility and as well as pricing advantages without having to remove their on-site PBX.
For Communication Service Providers in the UK these capabilities make it possible to offer a phased migration for small to mid-sized businesses as they make the move from legacy to next-gen communications.
"As Britain rapidly approaches its ISDN migration deadline, it was important for the OneAccess portfolio to support BT's initiative. Ekinops champions the soft migration of legacy systems, standardization and openness, all of which are key here. We're very proud to be part of the BT ecosystem," said Philippe Moulin, Chief Operating Officer in charge of Access Products and Services at Ekinops.
Earlier this year, EKINOPS announced it had completed a record 2nd quarter with a new peak reaching sequential growth of 17 percent when compared to the first quarter of the year.
