Vonage Appoints Former SAP Executive to Head Applications Group
Back in April, Vonage's Applications Group President and former CEO of NewVoiceMedia, Dennis Fois, stepped down from his role to become Chief Executive Officer of a private technology company. At that time, the business cloud communications provider began a hunt for Fois’ replacement while Alan Masarek, Vonage’s CEO, assumed interim leadership of the Applications Group.
This week, the company announced that the search is over and Vonage would have a new leader to continue the vision Masarek laid out for its business services group several year ago. The company has named software-as-a-service industry veteran Rodolpho Cardenuto as President of the Applications Group beginning December 9. Cardenuto will lead Vonage’s sales, operations and go-to-market strategy for both its unified communications and contact center portfolios (collectively known as the Applications Group). He will report to Vonage CEO Alan Masarek and will be based in the company's headquarters in Holmdel, New Jersey.
Prior to joining Vonage, Cardenuto held various positions of increasing responsibility at software and analytics giant SAP. These positions included President of SAP Americas and, most recently, President of Global Partner Operations, both reporting to then-CEO Bill McDermott and the company’s executive board. He also held positions in the past at Hewlett-Packard.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rodolpho to Vonage. His vast experience in business-to-business enterprise SaaS sales, coupled with deep operational expertise, is a perfect fit for Vonage and our focus on meeting the communications needs of businesses," said Masarekin a statement. "Leveraging Rodolpho's experience in driving revenue and growth for high-performing commercial organizations through proven go-to-market execution, we will continue to build on the power of the OneVonage platform to differentiate Vonage's business while helping our customers differentiate theirs."
Since closing the acquisition of NewVoiceMedia, Vonage has integrated its teams across the business including sales, product, engineering, finance, marketing and human resources. Earlier this year, the company launched CX Cloud Express, a NewVoiceMedia-based contact center solution integrated with Vonage Business Cloud, to meet the growing demand for a combined unified communications and contact center solution.
